  Awards and Judging

Several monetary prizes will be awarded to the best presentations from each session.

Judging

Showcase Room
Since the projects will be so different in topic, the graduate and professional students will be judged on their success in translating the research into language that can be understood by the general public.  Posters and short oral presentations will be judged by a small group of faculty, MSU community members, specialists of mba essay writing service and other graduate and professional students.  There will be a total of four oral/poster sessions. These sessions will be divided in to two blocks. Block One will be comprised of the sessions running from 1:00 - 2:00 and 2:15 - 3:15. Block Two will be comprised of the sessions running from 3:30 - 4:30 and 4:45 - 5:45. Judges will view the presentations/orals in their assigned rooms for a complete block. There will be one winner per room per block. The winner in each poster room for each block will receive $300; the winner in each oral presentation room for each block will receive $225. (The difference in prize amounts is due to the fact that a person presenting a poster has almost twice as much competition in each block as a person making an oral presentation.) Between the Ongoing and Showcase Rooms there will be a total of 16 monetary awards for the 2010 GAC. The awards will be presented at the Awards Reception at 6:00 pm.
